  • Additional Info: ​ *John Pleasants emigrated to Virginia about 1665 and acquired a large property.  He was elected to the House of Burgesses from Henrico, however,having adopted the religious tenets of the Quakers,he refused to take the required oaths of office and was unable to serve.
