- Additional Info: Henry Downs was expelled from the House on May 11, 1742 because it was proved that prior to his election he had been convicted of a felony and theft. Robert Slaughter was declared not duly elected on June 5, 1742, and a new writ of election was ordered to replace both burgesses (Downs & Slaughter) for Orange County. George Taylor was elected; the identity of the other burgess is unknown.
