Elizabeth Randolph was the daughter of William "Councillor" Randolph (1681 - 1742) and his wife Elizabeth Beverley (daughter of Peter Beverley, 1668 - 1728).
John Chiswell and Elizabeth Randolph married on May 19, 1736. Elizabeth was born October 24, 1715 and died in February of 1776.
John Chiswell killed Robert Rutledge, a Scot, in a political quarrel. While on trial for his life, John Chiswell committed suicide in 1766.
1752-1755 Assembly- Prior to the 1752 session, John Chiswell and John Syme were declared not duly elected. A new election resulted in the return of Chiswell and Henry Robinson.
