- Additional Info: For several years he served as reporter of decisions of the Supreme Court of Appeals of Virginia, of which four volumes (1806-1809) were prepared in conjunction with William W. Hening, and six volumes (1810-1820) he wrote himself. In 1819 he assisted in revising the laws of Virginia. He was also the author of an early volume of poems and other literary works, including a translation of the "Illiad" into blank verse, which was published in 1846. His son, George Wythe Munford, was named after his law professor, George Wythe. George Wythe Munford suceeded his father as Clerk of the House of Delegates (1825-1852)
