- Additional Info: On May 21, 1742, the House resolved that William Andrews, not George Douglas, the sitting member, was the duly elected burgess. On the next day, however, serious charges were preferred against Andrews, and an investigation resulted in his expulsion from the House. George Douglas was reelected in a new election.
