- Additional Info: Son William Presley represented Northumberland county during the long assembly of 1661-1676, but was returned to "Bacon's Assembly" in June 1676. After the restoration of Governor Berkeley, he was again a representative and is remembered for his saying that "he believed that the governor would have hanged half the country, if they had let him alone." Son Peter Presley represented Northumberland county in 1676, 1684 and 1691 and also served as a Justice of the county. He was father of Peter Presley, of "Northumberland House."
