- Bio Information: Suzette Denslow served as the 22nd Clerk and Chief Administrative Officer of the Virginia House of Delegates and was the first woman elected by the body to this position. Prior to her term as House Clerk, Ms. Denslow enjoyed a long career in public service, having previously served five Virginia Governors as Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative Director or Deputy Secretary of Education. She also served as Chief of Staff to Mayor Dwight C. Jones of the City of Richmond.
Before entering public service, Ms. Denslow worked as a lobbyist on behalf of local governments in Virginia. She worked with the Virginia Municipal League as its Deputy Director, as well as the Tennessee Municipal League as its Director. She earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Virginia and an undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
While she served as Clerk of the House, the Speaker was EILEEN FILLER-CORN.
